When in Rome... Or in this case, Iceland, one must visit the hot springs. They call them hot pots and can be found all over, in some places rivers run hot and people soak in them. A couple hotels we stayed at had a hot pot and charged a small fee if it wasn't part of the bill or if you weren't a guest. Sometimes the water flowed directly into them down a cliff but more often it was piped in from a nearby spring. Sadly, we missed more than we were able to get to, but we did alright. Our skin certainly had enough.
