Picnic

Our last ENL picnic was in 2019.  We had a spectacular day to revive the tradition at Stewart Park.  Some alumni came to join us, Terry was so pleased the carousel was running.  Nice group of people, I'm lucky to work with them.

Retirement Fund

Just in case the nieces and nephews and former students don't come through with my retirement plan, I invested in some gold.  Since all my food will be liquefied, I won't need the tooth it's currently capping.

Swimming Season

Gail and I visited friends to swim in the pond at their house.  The pond is a former quarry that has a dam.  I swim like a platypus.

New Trail

The Land Trust and Cayuga Trails Club have teamed up for a reroute of a section of the Finger Lakes Trail.  A section up a steep hill used to follow an abandoned road on private property that was closed for hunting three months per year.  Now it follows old logging roads (switchbacks!) on a FLLT preserve and will only have a one-month closure.  Lots of parking on Coddington Rd. and a well-set post that will mark an entrance.

Teach Your Children Well

A few former students singing, building furniture, and displaying banjo skills.  I taught them well.

Cooking

Working in a Food Science class led to a surprising event.  Smoking right on school grounds.
