Two of the wonderful nurses who took care of Mary Ellen and the other residents of Hospicare were there for the day. Connie volunteered to help make sure everything went smoothly. She also sold the winning kayak raffle ticket at Amy's birthday party, but not to Gail or me. Mary Ott swam while her husband Eric played in the band that provided live music for the event. She and Eric ran the Rongo for many years and had a huge influence on many of us. Eric played at a benefit the next day at the Rongo for the
Cancer Resource Center as a thank you for all they've done for him over the last year. Sorry to say he died a couple weeks later.
Claire is the receptionist at the residence and was one of many official photographers for the day.
