Sweet Sunny South

Like I said, it was cold, and we left at 1 am to try to avoid a snow storm we knew was expected from the mid-Atlantic states all the way to Ithaca.  The picture on top is a fountain in a garden in the Point neighborhood, below is a coin on the lack of tread on the tires of the rental car we drove.  We missed the snow for a good part of the return but then hit it full-on in Frederick, MD.  It added two hours to a 1000 mile drive but fortunately we were cautious enough and made it back home safely.
Let me know if you want to see any other of the 200 pictures I have, maybe I can even get the one Gail took of me slurping a raw oyster that was part of my first seafood meal since we went to Newfoundland ten years ago.
