Northeast Mountains and Lakes

From the previous posts you can see that after we left the Adirondacks and the nephews, we did plenty of hiking together.  The first hike was up Camel's Hump, one of Vermont's 4000' summits.  Gail had the idea of approaching it from a direction new to her (it was my first 4000' in Vermont).  We saw that ledge as we drove closer and couldn't imagine a trail down it.  Even after coming down and looking back it was hard to imagine.
Seeing her stand at the top there was no question her hip replacement was a success.
The view from Owl's Head west of the Presidential Range in NH.  This hike hadn't come recommended so we were surprised by the open view of where we'd be going the next day, we picked it because it was the closest to our lodging and shared Cherry Mountain with the summit of Mount Martha and we were thinking Gail's sister, Martha, might be impressed if we climbed a mountain that shared her name.

Willard Mountain overlooking Crawford Notch in NH.  A short trail up a small mountain, but a really popular hike due to the easy access to this view and it's proximity to AMC Highland Center.  In 2015 we camped for a few days in the bottom of the valley and hiked both flanks.
