Gail and some of her swimming buddies decided it was time for a swim across the lake. For Gail and a couple others this is not a great distance, so they did over and back. For others, like her new friend, Connie, it was a milestone and took perseverance and encouragement from all of us. I didn't swim, but provided support and safety by kayaking along with family members of swimmers who paddled one or both ways.
