Just about the last event of the month was a hike I led in Six Mile Creek for the
Cayuga Trails Club. I hate being out there when it is hot, and I'm not crazy about large group hikes in general, but this went really well despite the heat and 22 hikers. Everyone expressed gratitude for sharing my knowledge of the area and highlighting the many large trees in the woods. I even revised an old chestnut and read an excerpt from a book I love about a guy who fell 100' out of a tree (spoiler- he lived).
