Phenomenons

Too much heat combined with too little attention.  Happy to say there was still an abundance of jam to put in jars and enjoy all year.  And the stove came clean.

Wind has been the main problem with the storms this summer, but one evening threw in a rain event for variety.  We got a little under 2'' in as many hours, but the headwaters of the creek got 3''.

The tree Roxy and I have been using to cross the creek this summer was still passable after the water level dropped a bit.

It hasn't been a prolific year for chanterelles.  Though these jack-o-lanterns are close, they are NOT edible.

Rain comes with all kinds of bonuses.  How would the Double Rainbow Guy have reacted to this one?  Gail says someone threw a stone in the clouds.

I've seen this a couple times now and think it's a shadow from a contrail.
